Volume ten of the Breaks & Beats series rolls in with a grin and two expertly extended dancefloor gems. Side A takes Vaughan Mason's roller-boogie classic 'Bounce, Rock, Skate, Roll' and gives DJs exactly what they've always wanted - that too-short instrumental intro stretched into a smooth, mix-friendly glide that can be worked properly into a set. Flip it over and things get delightfully strange with Bad Bascomb's country-funk oddity 'Black Grass.' The mysterious Breaks & Beats re-editor goes to town on this one by teasing out the grimy drum breaks and sprinkling them through the track with cheeky precision. Two playful, floor-ready reworks that are simple but effective.
