Also known by his turntablist alias, DJ Spell, he has cemented his status in music communities globally having achieved the title of DMC World DJ Champion 2017 and being a past DMC World Runner Up and a judge for last years 2025 DMC World championships.

His versatility shines through in his acclaimed work on tracks that span lo-fi, hip-hop, boom bap, and a signature West-Coast G Funk style. Beyond his studio and battle accolades. Spell is an artist of Māori descent, with heritage in the Ngāti Porou and Tainui iwi.
