Pre Order - BRS - Time To Shuff EP (reissue) Situationism - 12"

BRS aka British Rhythm Services, really do warrant the tag of deep house pioneers. They lay down foundations for a sound that are still being built on a quarter of a century later. They dropped several vital Eps, not least this one from 2000, originally on Cyclo Records. 'Shuff (60's Jazz mix)' kicks off with humid bass and pads and kick that move with a cool swing and skip. 'Outer Space (feat 6LDA)' lifts its head a little and slows in some late afternoon sun and intimate vocals whispers while 'Dave On Guitar' has lush licks and scary effects marbling a groove that means business. 'Come Get I (feat 6LDA)' has a more percussive looseness and sparkling keys. Jazz, garage and lounge vibes all get choked into the mix on this EP and the results are magnificent.
