Polish collective Bloto continue their restive, genre-dodging moves with the limited 7" 'Zmiany' via Astigmatic. The group broach their usual bounds here, recording in Bucharest during sessions with Romanian underground figure Ion D and producer Plevna of the Future Nuggets scene. Just an A and a B, 'Zmiana Czasu' and 'Zmiana Klimatu' ("change of time" and "change of climate"), grew from long improvisations inside Ion D's N-am Studio, where electronics, synth motifs and freeform playing merged into a session looser than once. Amid wider and upticked exchanges between Poland and Romania post-1989, the music intended to echo the shifting urbanities and transformations both countries have seen in step.
