Spellspellspell is a highly acclaimed DJ and producer hailing from Hamilton, New Zealand, renowned for his distinctive sound which masterfully fuses atmospheric soundscapes with downtempo beats, samples and 100% swag. Also known by his turntablist alias, DJ Spell, he has cemented his status in music communities globally. 

His versatility shines through in his acclaimed work on tracks that span lo-fi, hip-hop, boom bap, and a signature West-Coast G Funk style. 

Previously a resident of Naarm (Melbourne) Australia. Dr Diggns first caught Spell DJing locally at various venues, around 13 yrs back and has loved his vibes ever since.

Spell is a formidable force in the competitive world of turntablism, having achieved the title of DMC World DJ Champion 2017 and being a past DMC World Runner Up. Beyond his studio and battle accolades, Spell is an artist of Māori descent, with heritage in the Ngāti Porou and Tainui iwi.

Spell is currently in Seoul and then heading to Japan judging the 2025 World Finals DMC battles in Tokyo and touring playing various shows in Japan, Seoul and Singapore over the next few months.
