SILK CUTS -  DWYBU / WWYBA
Label : Silk cuts
Format: 7"- 45rpm BLK
Genre: Hip Hop

Silk Cuts has made some real waves this year. The label started in April and the first two EPs are reported to have been the work of "at least three shadow-vinyl slayers", though all remain mysterious and unnamed. The spouse material is also uncredited but comes from the world of hip-hop with a few recognisable signifiers. 'DWYBU' opens with a loose, jostling groove and a baseline that sounds like it was borrowed from a Chicago deep house classic. 'WWYBA' is pure storytelling goodness with a lean, rolling groove and sunny disposition.
