Guillaume Metenier aka Soul Sugar loves doing reggae version of soul songs and has previously released quite a few gems in the genre featuring Jamaican rising star Leo Carmichael on vocals, with songs like Timmy Thomas “Why Can’t We Live Together”, Marvin Gaye “I Want You”, Luther Vandross classic “Never Too Much”, and already a magnificent cover of Curtis “The Makings Of You”…
Fast forward to 2024 this time around Guillaume and his vintage keyboards armoury teams up with the Dub Shepherds crew composed of singer and multi instrumentalist Jolly Joseph, Dr Charty on bass and Jahno on drums to deliver a full album of orignal songs and covers captured live in studio on analog gear.
